A path unveiled ffxiv9/19/2023 ![]() Time to tackle our first boss in this odd dungeon. Face them away from the rest of the party. Tanks should also be cognizant of the Terminus Idolizer’s cone AoE attack. They’re not hard to deal with, but tanks should take notice. While you’ll focus on the immediate threat of the Terminus Trampler, you might miss that the two soldiers will morph into Terminus Shrivers. The twist of running Vanaspati is that you’ll frequently run into citizens who will morph into deadly beasts. Then, come back here for some help if you have trouble! First Mob Pull If you prefer to preserve the surprise of dungeons for yourself, give them a try first before referring to a guide. The Warrior of Light tries to save the world, but you can’t save everyone.īe warned that dungeon guides contain spoilers. Vanaspati is a dungeon that recalls Holminister Switch, a normal location that’s undergoing a dramatic catastrophe in real-time as you make your way through it. Instead, the forest is burning and the people of Radz-at-Han are becoming abominations. Vanaspati is the name of the mighty jungle of Thavnair, and your first visit there isn’t for a hunt. We were able to make a WeakAura that detected if that bug was about to occur and warns everyone to Flask of Petrification. The third dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV : Endwalker is definitely one that sets a tone, establishing that this is the beginning of the Final Days. For this we did go onto WotLK PTR with a couple of people to investigate. With Razorgore there is a bug where he can unexpectedly cast the insta-kill raid explosion that usually happens when you wipe. Our raid leader also made a commentary video going over BWL VoDs that we would be doing similar strategies to.Įveryone had watched this commentary video earlier in the day, and there was a lengthy discussion therein about those Drakonids and their different possible abilities (e.g. Basically all of our preparation was done from watching VoDs, and looking at old Warcraft Logs entries, and from memory of when we played softcore back in original Classic.įor each boss we have a dedicated Discord channel to discuss/research strategies, then eventually that becomes a raid plan with assignments etc in a Google Drive spreadsheet. The other issue was a potential Razorgore bug that could cause instant wipes randomly, and the guild did have to go outside of hardcore to address that one, making a WeakAura to warn them if it was about to happen - but luckily it didn't, as esuvii explains below while talking about the guild's preparation process: The way they avoided people dying to the bomb there was a simple hearthstone out for those affected, since it removes the debuff, with healers waiting at the inn for any additional damage from the dot! Also the extremely fast, sub-1 minute kill didn't hurt either. ![]() ![]() The entire run had 0 deaths but there were two very dangerous issues, starting with Vaelastrasz. Here's the Nefarian kill (and you can click through the video for the rest of the clear): Also, if you're here looking to see some hardcore deaths, stick around to the end of the article. It's been quite a while since we talked about hardcore kills - a year and three months since Ragnaros died to be exact - and HC Elite are back with the second raid of Vanilla WoW cleared! It took quite a while to muster up the courage to clear all the way to Nefarian and take him down, with pretty specific strategies needed for some bosses (Vael says hi), but HC Elite proved everything is possible with enough dedication and time. The later zones are much more interesting, however, as there are fewer deaths and the players getting there are presumably more dedicates, so let's take a look at the probably most classic Classic zone:Īnd here's the full list with the 14 zones that were examined: Other VERY deadly mobs include Voidwalker Minions from Durotar, Son of Arugal in Silverpine, Wendigo in Dun Morogh, Defias Trapper in Westfall and the MOST deadly mob in this overview: Kobold Miners from Elwynn. There's plenty of locations showcased in the reddit post below, and the highest number of deaths is mostly related to how many players chose which starting zone, and oh boy, there were a LOT of Night Elves not making it out of Teldrassil, and most of those were under level 10. ![]() We also get to see what exactly killed them, as well as the level range of deaths by zone (you'd be surprised at the amount of sub-level 10 deaths). ![]() This is based on data from the Deathlog addon, with 45,000 actual deaths logged in Classic. Here's a really interesting visualization, as paraizord shared zone maps with highlighted locations of where Hardcore players had died and who killed them. ![]()
